None of those are really programming languages Tongue
Anyways, I prefer PHP since I know it better than the others.

RE: Favourite Programming Language?

Okay LOL! First off, CSS, HTML, and XHTML are NOT programming languages. PHP and Perl ARE however. I vote PHP, byfar the best, perl code is impossible to read... and ASP is junk because its old, clunky, and only runs on broken windows.....

RE: Favourite Programming Language?

Mark Up languages can also be termed as programming languages?

I need a clear definition about the programming languages.

I know normally a programming language should do some operations like conditional operations and arithmetic operations.

Only for the convenience, other languages are called as programming languages.

RE: Favourite Programming Language?

No I specfically said they are aren't programming languages and for that very reason. They are just a form of XML that the browser uses to render the given page.

Development and Advantages of PHP comparing ASP

ASP is only a language that generated because of the Monopoly of MicroSoft. We can't edit the language capability. Since PHP is an open source, I prefer PHP more. You can make your own classes for the language and it is possible to do any thing with PHP by making your classes.

Also PHP is a fast developing language because of the vast contribution by the developers.

RE: Favourite Programming Language?

There are many different programming languages, especially most of them are not related to the webprogramming. You even don't add them. Why? I know people ar egenerally interested in web programming but without normal programs, there will be not other applications such as internet explorer, or surfing programs etc.

For that reason, my favorite is Java. This is not a web programming language.

Also the java applications need some extra installations. They are not executable (.exe ) files.

Still Java is a good program when concerning about software development.

The jar files made with Java can be executed like normal executable files. But still they demands certain java environments for their executions.

You can convert java files to windows exe files with certain tools..

But that takes more memory than usual C or relative program generated exe files.

Applets are only Java programs that used on Web pages..

You can use java extensions with applet coded programs. Normally .class extension can use with applet coded files. That simply work as a class and you can insert inputs to your class using <PARAM> tag.
