How does google calculate their rankings?


Hey,

I have a blog which is ranked second on google for a certain keyword, a similar blog is ranked one spot below me for all the same keywords.

now i have a post on their blog for my blog and that post is ranked above my blog on google..

not sure if you understand what i'm saying, but that doesn't make sense to me. what's google doing?

PR means page rank and that is directly proportional to the back links of your page/site.
