How to setup Apache Server with PHP

I am a newbie in php scripting. So i have some doubts.

Where i can download apache,php and my sql packages?
And i think its possible to create database in our local pc and my doubt is whether its possible to connect our php scripts to database in pc and run that without web support. I started creating databases in free hosts with integrated database management. So i wish to know about this. plz reply

You are now dealing with the open source softwares. You can find the source code of the tool you using and you can change the whole tool to another format if you are interested.

This is very handy when you are looking for some big big services. That is it helps you to change the whole program for your service.

For newbies, there is a tool (package) that helps to install php, mysql and apache together.

But you will not get the latest version of PHP or MySql or server. Even you are not going to get help for using it.

is this phpmyadmin essentially need for scripting or not
i tried to install phpmyadmin,but it says php configuration failed,what to do

You can find an integrated package from there. No need of establishing PhpAdmin on that package. Use that for easy.
