RE: What is Google SiteMaps?
actually i did and i quote from the site
a Sitemap is an XML file
I was reffering to your statement:
actually yahoo uses urllist.txt instead of sitemap.xml
This statement is not accurate. Yahoo does not use urllist.txt instead of XML sitemaps.
Yahoo uses both. It is the site owner's choice.

RE: What is Google SiteMaps?
Not only Yahoo. The others too.
Google also accept feeds of the site. But I think they are accepting that only from recent past. My feeds are not accepted by google on the beginning periods of webmaster section. Don't have any idea about MSN. They are planning to open the webmaster section for their search engine. They are also launching the beta for webmasters probably on the next month.

Definition and Explanation about Backlinks
Ivens, I want to know more about back links. Canyou explain.
Backlinks are links that points your site, but resides on other's sites. When search engines like Google notices this backlinks on other site's, they give points to your site and this points are used for Page Rank of your site. So by making more backlinks (ie. getting links to your site on other sites), you can bring your search results to the top positions on search engine for specific keywords.

1. Did you validate your feeds first? Do that first before submitting.
2. To ping MSN for your rss feed, you instead ping MoreOver with your RSS URL (I recommend doing this after adding your RSS feed to your MyMSN account).

1. I did that and they are now accepting every feeds. No problem with them...
2. I know that and I'm doing that regularly. But I can't find any link to moreover from MSN or Live.. They even not mentioning any ping service of their own. Now they declared of publishing webmasters tools with ping service.
