wrong location?

i noticed the forum PHP scripts is located as subforum of the programming forum
i think php scripts should be a subforum of the forum scripts instead as php isn't a programming languange but a scripting languange,

I thought so too myself at first but then I realized that it's not the same thing. At least, not to me. The script forum refers to on-line web scripts like forum and blog scripts while php scripts is more a section for programs or programming in php. If I'm mistaken I thinks Ivenms will correct me, but that's what I think.
Web scripts and programming are not the same and a program made in php is not the same as a web script.

Actually Scripts section is created some days before.. Before that, scripts are categorized under the programming section. But not changed the PHP Script's location after putting the new script's section.

What is your opinion??

php is a powerful server-side scripting language
it requires a server to interpret PHP code for you.

Well, I agree with what you said but C and C++ at least are not important to an webmaster as far as I'm concerned. They are good because learning them you will be able to learn later other programming languages more easily. Only java can be useful to a webmaster, trough the javascripts. And that's why on programming the accent on this forum, the webmasters-forum, should be put on php because this is one of the basic things that a webmaster must have at least heard about this day. On "Scripts" you can put all sort of installer scripts and on php scripts you can discuss about small programs or small modifications that you need to do to a php program. At least that's how I feel. Let's wait and see what the others say too.

Iam going to move every threads on "PHP Scripts" to the "Scripts" section..

yes but it seems the subforum 'PHP scripts' is still in the programming forum,
this will cause members to just post php in programming again and than we're back where we started.

well gonna bother you with this again,
the description of programming still says php and the php topics inside should be moved to scripting,
you could also merge the forums as scripting & programming,

Am not moves all Programmed related topics. Only the scripts are included on the "Scripts" section. The programming section is or the discussion about all kind of programming techniques. That includes every languages.

I like to keep the programming and the scripts in different section to pick the topic in easier way.
