Planning a project is the initial period following the project charter does sign. According to the PMI methodology, this stage starts with an opening organization agreement.
In the project planning phase, the following should be worked out:
- The composite construction of production;
- Scope report;
- Table of obligations;
- Flow diagram (most often the end effect is a Gantt chart).
It is a simple misunderstanding that an over-execution of the project (for example on its financial side) is something definite. In the books (including PMI methodology), special attention is given to answering this bias. One of the pettiest analyses is that the support planned for the project, but not used, could have been used for other objects, thus missing out on profits.
